Inspect your mattresses first and pay extra close attention to the following areas:
- Seams
- Labels
- Corner protectors
- Beading
- Buttons
Carefully inspect adjacent components such as:

- Bedspring coils
- Interiors of hollow bed posts
- Bed frame
- Headboard
- Wooden slats
